Dr Sal aims to identify the DNA of a very insidious virus, and to do this he must try to remove its protection, atom by atom. To remove the atom, all he has to do is hit it with another atom of the same type. Each type of atom has a different color from the others. It's up to you to help Dr. Sal.
In the laboratory you have ready in an ampoule the DNA of the virus covered by the atoms that you will have to remove. To remove the atoms in the ampoule you have to make them collide with another atom of the same color.
The atoms to be used will be offered (two at a time in a random color) at the top of the ampoule. They will remain there until you decide which of the two atoms to use (by rotating them with the appropriate button) and when to make them go down (using the down button). During the descent you can always rotate the atoms and increase the descent speed by clicking several times on the down key (up to speed x3).
If the falling atom collides with the atom in the ampoule of the same color, the atom in the ampoule disappears. If the color is different, however, the atom in the ampoule remains there and is added on top of the descending atom.
When you have managed to remove all the atoms from a sphere of the virus's DNA, it rises and turns from red to gray. From what moment on, it doesn't matter if new atoms are deposited on the gray sphere of DNA.
When you managed to turn the six spheres of the virus's DNA to gray, you passed the screen. Three pass screens allow you to pass the level.
Pay attention to the liquid in the ampoule: it must always cover the atoms, otherwise the game will end in game-over (practically that liquid represents the time at your disposal).
To help you have 3 types of bonuses: one allows you to eliminate the entire row of atoms (except the last row, which will be protected from viruses that run in the laboratory); one will allow you to add liquid to the ampoule (so in fact it allows you to increase the time available to you); the third makes the descending atom compatible with any type of atom present in the ampoule (practically it is a wild card).
There are also malus: a virus that throws an atom (of random color) into the ampoule three times; another that sucks part of the liquid from you in the ampoule (so it reduces the time).
The more you level up, the harder the game becomes. The difficulty consists in increasing the type of atoms (first level: 4 colors; second level: 5 colors; third level: 6 colors; fourth level and record level: 7 colors).
Yes, record level: for this game there is a worldwide ranking, you can see it at the beginning of the game, so the more you accumulate scores, the more you can place among the first in the world in the Virus Puzzle.
