Vivo Museum Project
The project was drawn up for adherence to the Call of the Union of Provinces of Italy "Youth Provincial Action 2020", funded by the National Fund for youth policies.
“Museo Vivo” is aimed at strengthening the activities carried out by the Province in the field of naturalistic education and the dissemination of issues concerning the environmental characteristics of the provincial territory. In particular, the project actions focus on strengthening the provincial structures specifically dedicated to environmental education (Cascina Stella and Castelleone educational forest) but the salient feature is the involvement, in this operation, of young people aged 14 to 35, intercepted through the school institutions attended or when they enter the world of work. The planned actions required the formation of a partnership that involved the “Stanga” Higher Education Institutes of Crema and “J. Torriani "of Cremona, in addition to the Museum Didactic Association of Milan, which has been involved for decades in conducting environmental education initiatives and has extensive experience also of activities carried out in the territorial reality of the province of Cremona, and the Municipality of Castelleone, involved as a subject external.
Among the products of the initiative, mention should be made of the offer of a training and internship course aimed at six young people who wish to carry out the activity of "environmental guides"; the training activity and part of the internship took place in the field, but, also considering the particular period in which it was operated, each of the young people involved, followed by expert tutors, produced a useful lesson for "distance learning" and concerning one of the naturalistic themes that can usually be illustrated during the guided visits to the provincial structures of Castelleone.
Among the other products of the initiative, mention should be made of the restructuring of the websites of the Ecomuseum of the Province of Cremona and of the Educational Forest (in collaboration with the IIS "Torriani" of Cremona), the creation of a specific app that will allow visitors of the Educational Forest, with the use of their smartphone, to obtain descriptive information on the trees and shrubs that make up the forest (in collaboration with the IIS "Stanga" of Crema), the restructuring of the video projection system of the educational path on river landscape, the acquisition of new teaching tools (digital microscopes).
