The Confesercenti was founded on February 14, 1971 in Rome by four associations strongly representative of their respective categories: the Anva (walking trade), the Faib (fuel distributors), the Uncic (fixed-place trade) and the Fiarc (agents) of commerce), which together had about 80,000 members.
