Allows the birdwatcher to record birdcalls in the field, at the touch of a button, for later identification.
A birdcall is sometimes the best way to identify a bird. However, it is difficult to remember a sound, and many birdcalls are also indistinct, so that when attempting to match the remembered birdcall to an audio reference guide, e.g. a CD, it is often an almost impossible task.
A recording may be started immediately by pressing the record button of the widget, with a minimum of distraction and delay.
The location, time and date of the recording are automatically captured along with each recording. Other information may also be entered, including species, title and notes.
When reviewing past recordings, each one is displayed in a list. Within the list, either swipe a recording to delete it or tap a recording to review its details, including playing it back or reviewing its location on a map.
