In Japan, this period of culture is called Jomon culture.The Jomon period lasted more than 10,000 years until the start of the Yayoi period, about 2,300 years ago, when full-fledged rice cultivation began in the Japanese archipelago. Although it lasted for a very long period of time, traces of peaceful and abundant living without a major war can be seen from numerous ruins.
