ICAS Project

Real-time machine learning insect identification app trained on images curated by a PhD entomologist. The app can be used in the dark (it has a flashlight button) and can be used in airplane mode, so no internet connection is necessary!

Currently, these are the insects that can be identified with the app:
Bed bugs, American cockroaches, German cockroaches, Oriental cockroaches, Blow flies, House flies, Crane flies, Indian meal moths, Cigarette beetles, Bald faced hornets, Yellow jackets, Lone star ticks, Deer ticks, Acrobat ants, Allegheny mound ants, Argentine ants, Asian needle ants, Big-headed ants, Carpenter ants, Cornfield ants, Crazy ants, Field ants, Fire ants, Ghost ants, Termites, Silverfish, Boxelder bugs, Brown marmorated stink bugs, Bumble bees, Carpenter bees, Brown recluse spiders, and Black widow spiders.

I'm always adding more insect species to the image recognition model, so feel free to tell me what insects you would like to identify with the app!
