hearo is the first domestic and foreign service that provides the counseling process of incumbent firefighter councilors based on CISD (Critical Stress Debriefing) through APP. Along with personalized counseling with guaranteed anonymity, we also provide column services for firefighters and their families.
Q. Would it be effective to share experiences with colleagues who had similar incidents and consult online?
The U.S. firefighting organization provides a Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM) consultation process, including the Trauma Screening Questionnaire (TSQ) and After Action Review (AAR), for personnel who have experienced the same incident. The order of hearO's ‘to listen to me’, ‘to listen to a colleague’, and ‘to a colleague’ was designed with this reference.
After being exposed to the scene of a shocking incident, you realize that the hard experiences or reactions you have experienced are not your own, so you can avoid being extraordinarily weak or lead to your own problems. Through this generalization and normalization process, you can gain the power to overcome trauma shock and help you quickly reduce the psychological difficulties caused by trauma.
Q. PTSD is known to require long-term medical stage interventions, what are the benefits of this short-term process?
hearo is a program that prevents progression to PTSD through mental health education and coping instructions for psychological shock as soon as possible immediately after exposure to events that may cause PTSD. There have been many reports and proven studies showing that a program in which a mental health professional and a peer counselor trained in the shock event-related stress management program (CISM) teamed up to help colleagues exposed to shock scenes helped prevent PTSD. There is a bar. In other words, if the degree of PTSD is from 1 to 10, it is a service that focuses on the steps to prevent and manage it before progressing from 3 to 6 to higher.
