Learn more about the pearl of the city of Almaty. This place is rightly called the "lungs of the city." The main botanical garden was founded in 1932 and covers an area of ​​103.6 hectares. The garden collection has hundreds of varieties of roses, dozens of varieties of peonies, asters, tulips, lilacs, as well as various trees and other plants, including medicinal and fruit crops. Here a unique multi-thousand collection of flora of Kazakhstan, Russia, Crimea and the Caucasus, North America and East Asia is collected.
During a walk in the garden you can admire the rose garden, oak grove, coniferous grove, and in the spring - blooming lilacs. The pride of the botanical garden is the Orangery of tropical and subtropical plants, which includes several departments where more than 1000 species of plants are represented - palm trees, bananas, bamboos, cacti, tropical aquatic and other forms.
