This dictionary contains about 100 thousand words, phrases and expressions of the modern Kazakh and Russian languages ​​with a detailed development of their meanings (about 40 thousand words in the Kazakh and 60 thousand words in the Russian parts of the dictionary). Since this dictionary is bilingual, special attention was paid, on the one hand, to such a selection of vocabulary and phraseology, which, perhaps, would more fully reflect the current state of the Kazakh literary and spoken language, taking into account the traditional vocabulary, the correct translation of Kazakh words and expressions. And, accordingly, on the other hand, the compiler would like to reflect all the richness of the Russian literary and spoken language, as far as possible, in translation into the Kazakh language. The dictionary includes some special terms that are used and spread in the press and entered into everyday life in connection with the development of science and technology. The dictionary is designed primarily for students of non-linguistic universities, teachers and translators. It will also be of interest to those who have begun to study the Russian and Kazakh languages, and for those to whom the study of the Kazakh language opens the first step to the knowledge of the richness of vocabulary and the history of the Turkic languages.
