The Laboratory of Image Processing, Signals and Applied Computing (LAPISCO) is located inside the Fortaleza campus of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará (IFCE), where it is installed on the second floor of the Research block.
Within this laboratory are located researchers, students and teachers linked to the Post-Graduate Programs in Computer Science (PPGCC) and Renewable Energies (PPGER) of the IFCE, as well as students of the Post-Graduate Program in Teleinformatics Engineering (PPGETI) of the UFC.
All LAPISCO collaborators are linked to research groups registered with CNPq and certified by the IFCE, and may highlight the Research Group on Intelligent Systems (GPSI) and the Research Group on Biomedical Engineering (GPEB).
The research lines of this laboratory are mainly Digital Image Processing and Computational Simulation, involving Artificial Intelligence and Pattern Recognition applied in several areas, including Embedded Systems, Robotics, Automation and mobile devices.
