This application has been designed by La Roca de Gredos to help mountaineers and outdoor athletes in calculating routes or route sections for mountain and adventure activities.
The application is offered free of charge and will not only be useful for mountaineers, mountaineers and hikers but it can also be used for calculations on approaches in other disciplines such as climbing, ravines, high line, caving, via ferrata, ice climbing, snowshoes, trail running ...
The calculator has 4 well differentiated blocks:
- In the first block are the slope calculations.
- In the second block are the Distance calculations.
- In the third block, you must select our speed of movement.
- In the fourth block, the application calculates the estimated time to travel that route, applying the speed you have selected in the third block.

The height and distance figures will be accurate (as accurate as the user entering the data) but the time calculated is an estimate and will be more or less approximate depending on other factors such as: personal conditions, state of the terrain, weather and visibility conditions, our equipment and weight, size and experience of the group ...
The mountain can be a hostile environment where the situation can be seriously complicated, so we recommend having the appropriate knowledge, adequate material and taking the necessary precautions both before and during the activity. From La Roca de Gredos we encourage those less experienced to take a mountaineering and orientation course to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to function in mountain terrain. We also recommend hiring a mountain guide to carry out the routes and ascents in complete safety and let yourself be imbued with the knowledge of your guide.
