আওয়ামী লীগের নেতৃত্বে মুক্তিযু

The first government formed on 10 April 1971 with Awami League President Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman as President, Syed Nazrul Islam as Vice President (Acting President in Bangabandhu's absence) and Tajuddin Ahmed as Prime Minister was the first government of Bangladesh known as Mujibnagar Government. The swearing in of the first Awami League government was held on 18 April in the presence of a large number of foreign journalists at Amrakan in Baidyanathtala in Meherpur district (then subdivision). The great war of liberation was conducted under this government.
