The National Chamber of Trucking was established in June 8, 1989 at an Extraordinary General Assembly and its members agree to make arrangements with the relevant authorities the Program for Modernization of Trucking. Canacar was established as a public and autonomous institution with legal personality and its own, specializing in providing services to cargo motor carriers. The creation of the body was the response of carriers charging an organized political face of deregulation of service and avoid dispersion and fragmentation of the sector.
