It is well known that the frequency of use of words follows the law of powers (laws of power). This is the rule that the probability of a large event occurring is low and the probability of an ordinary event occurring being very high. 20% of commonly used words account for 80% of the total word usage, as in Paristo's law that 20% of the population has 80% wealth. Considering that the native speaker knows an average of 40,000 words, we know that 20%, or 8000 words, is sufficient for English as a foreign language.
12,800 words were selected and prioritized among words from various vocabulary books and SAT on the market. Using the web and social media, the words are determined by reflecting the times, so the probability of memorized words coming out of the usual study or work is extremely high. Because the fingerprints of the test are excerpted from several documents, the probability of taking the test well increases. When analyzing words that have been taken in SAT in the last 10 years, more than 95% of them are included.
A total of 12,800 words are divided into 8 levels of 1600 words. There are a total of eight stages, from the first year of junior high school to the second year of college. According to their level, it is memorized 8,000 words for a total of 5 weeks in 2 ~ 6 steps (in the case of high school students) and 3 ~ 7 steps in the case of high schools.
