Traditional Thai Massage (TTM) is a massage technique in Thailand under the Thai name Nuad Phaen Boran (Thai: นวด แผน โบราณ) is known, which means "ancient healing touch".
In Western Europe it is also called Thai yoga massage.
Thai massage consists of passive, yoga extracted stretching positions and stretching movements, joint mobilization and pressure point massage.
Ten selected energy lines (Thai: สิบ เส้น - sip sen) that run through the body as an energetic network according aryurvedischer teaching are processed through gentle stretching and rhythmic pressure of palms, thumbs, knees, elbows and feet. The Thai massage takes place clothed on a floor mat.
