My name is Mathew and I have served over 24 years in the United States Coast Guard, 10 years active duty and now 14 in the reserves. I work as a Fire Fighter and I live in San Diego Ca with my beautiful wife and my two crazy kids.
It took me 4 years to figure out VA disability. I was denied over and over again, and I hit a point to where I was about to throw in the disability towel. It wasn’t until I reached out to my friends and other veterans and asked their advice before I got my rating.
When you join the military and you get that coveted title of “Veteran” you are now part of an extended family. A family that will take time out of their life’s to help no matter the situation. A family that truly cares about each other, and one that will never leave you behind.
So my hope for this app is that it helps you to connect with other Veterans and hear their stories and heed their advice. I hope that it makes the process of getting rated with the VA a bit easier to understand. Lastly I hope that you make a few new battle buddies along the way.
