This app contains the translation of the New Testament and Genesis into the Tem language, one of the first and very few sizable books published in Tem. The New Testament contains 27 shorter books, each with their own introduction. Genesis is the first of five books contained in the Tawrat, which is attributed to the prophet Moses.
This translation is the fruit of cooperative efforts of Christians and Muslims who value the translation of God’s Word in a common language that is easily understandable. Every effort was made by the translators at ABTem to make the translation as accurate as possible, while using language that is clear and natural. The accuracy of the translation was checked by consultants and many other checks before publication.
Tem is spoken in central Togo, as well as across the borders into Ghana, Benin and notable diaspora populations in Niger, Burkina Faso, Germany as well as other countries.
For new readers, this version of the app contains audio recordings for Genesis chapters 1-15, as well as Luke chapters 6-12. For these portions you can click the icon at the top to listen, and it will highlight the words so you can learn to read on your own, while listening.
This app also allows you to select a verse and create an image card, to share a word of encouragement with your friends. You can also tap on verses to highlight your favorite verses, add personal notes, or insert markers. Click on underlined words see their glossary definitions, without losing your place.
The first time, this app will open to Genesis 6, where the history of Noah is given. The app will also give you a suggested verse of the day, as well as a reading reminder at 7h00 each morning. You can change the reminder time or cancel it if desired.
May your reading be blessed, and may God use these words to speak to your heart. Please contact ABTem if you have any questions. AssoBibleTem@gmail.com
