About Zelfi – maak regelmatig studer

You are now viewing a demo, beta version, of the app. This is an outdated version with "bugs" that we have used for scientific research.

The new version cannot be found in the app store, but is a "web application" (just like the Pocket Didactics app). We did this for the following reasons:
- We no longer wish to cooperate under the terms of the Google Play Store and Apple. They are slow, difficult to reach and have their servers outside of Europe.
- A web application is very easy to update and personalize. This makes it easier for us to meet the wishes of educational institutions.

Why Zelfi?

Do you find it difficult to start on your homework? Are you easily distracted by social media or games? Would you like to perform better at school, but you don't know how to do that?

Then try Zelfi! Selfi was created by scientists and helps you in small steps to learn to plan, concentrate and reflect.

Step 1:
Take a selfie!

Step 2:
Make a plan for your homework with Zelfi.

Step 3:
Get started with your plan and destroy your distractors.

Step 4:
Enter how it went. How long have you learned, were you distracted, did you find it difficult or super simple? This way you become a star in reflection, we can give you tips and show you how well you are doing.

Step 5:
Pimp your selfie! The better you get at planning, concentrating and reflecting, the more possibilities you get to pimp your selfie!
Zelfi reminds you of your homework and helps monitor your concentration. It keeps an eye on your progress and helps you when your teacher cannot help you.

With Zelfi, your school performance will improve and you will eventually have more time for fun things besides school, such as watching series, playing football, picking your nose or chilling with your friends!

Zelfi is also superrrr flex for your parents. Because they save money on homework assistance, your pocket money may be a bit higher! Winning!

Background
Zelfi won the Neuroscience Edution Hackathon of Radboud University Nijmegen and was developed by behavioral scientists from the Habit Lab of the University of Amsterdam and Neuro Habits (improving behavior with science). www.neurohabits.nl.

The lack of planning, concentration and reflection skills is often attributed to the "adolescent brain" or to a lack of willpower or motivation. However, it is a misconception that these skills mature naturally over the years. In fact, many adults still struggle with time management and effective goals. Teaching self-taught learning skills needs to be actively trained and cannot be started early enough.

Zelfi was developed to help students plan, concentrate and reflect in a way that matches the experience of young people.
