The protagonist has reached the future for 23 years, where he goes through the variants of worlds that we are afraid of today or are skeptical about the possibility of them happening; a world in which homosexuals are the dominant population, or a world after the Third Limited Nuclear War? The protagonist, going through all those worlds, realizes that "... the accumulated problems cannot be solved by the level of consciousness with which they were created." Radical changes are needed, with his initiative, united alien civilizations enter the scene.
