The book is about an unknown disease that begins to attack and kill old people all over the planet, and then spreads to the younger population. The girl Dana, the young doctor Luka and the girl Višnja are the main protagonists and fighters against this scourge, and an important role is played by one conditionally speaking "character", actually an unusual cosmic entity called "IT". The story flows through scenes of the struggle with a mysterious disease, through love episodes amidst chaos and panic and everything ends with two epilogues, one for the pessimists and the other for the optimists.
