A clear definition of art has always interested artists and philosophers, and such a tendency has produced many opinions and theories. Some of them are philosophical, and in principle logical, while others are almost completely incomprehensible and use terms that are not fully clarified. In addition to many theories, philosophizing, thinking and studying, art is still an insufficiently elucidated and understood concept today. For some, art is even a mysterious activity that will never be fully explained because it would certainly destroy its strength and essence. Such an understanding of art was built on layers of understanding of various theorists and artists who were not able to cope with the main problem of defining art.

Art is neither mysterious nor incomprehensible and its beginning, existence and permanence are inextricably linked to the development of human society through history and the progress of production technology. Such,
the ultimate materialist conception of art finally allows its illumination and location of its essence.

This book subjects art to a scientific materialist study based on social theory and thus fully clarifies all known problems of art theory and ultimately presents the reader with a clear scientific definition of art.
