Eight out of ten elderly people who are admitted to a nursing home have poor oral health. However, oral care and oral health have been reducing on average three years before admission. When care takes more and more effort, we soon see that priorities are set. As a result, oral care quickly disappears into the background. With the Sûne Mûle project we want to improve oral care and oral health among vulnerable elderly people living at home.
