The Pronkjewailpad is a successful long-distance walking and cycling path through Groningen, divided into a North Route (250 km) and a South Route (350 km). Participants get to know Groningen in an (inter) active and surprising way, because they have to get at least one stamp in every village on the route. More than 280 local entrepreneurs and other tourist, recreational and cultural organizations in Groningen are stamps and offer the walkers a "Pronkjewail": a welcoming gesture. Consider, for example, giving a souvenir, tasting a piece of poffoffs, viewing an exhibition, or climbing a tower.
The Pronkjewailpad organization now also offers the path and the stamp posts digitally. The Pronkjewailspel is an online alternative to and addition to the physical Pronkjewailpad. Can't you come to Groningen to walk the path? Then the Pronkjewailpad will always be accessible through this game, and you can continue to discover Groningen. Are you really going to walk the Pronkjewailpad? Then this game is a nice extra challenge while walking.
This app counts your steps and determines the number of kilometers you have walked. All (combinations of) movements count. Think of climbing stairs, moving on the exercise bike or treadmill, (indoor) fitness or a walk in the neighborhood or in the garden. Moving five kilometers is therefore equal to five kilometers on the virtual Pronkjewailpad.
You can see yourself moving on the interactive route map of the Pronkjewailpad. On the way you will come across a stamp post in every village. There you have to answer a question to earn a stamp and points on your digital stamp card. Through these "DOE activities" you will get to know Groningen in an interesting way!
