From 4 to 7 July 2019, Kerkrade will be breathing wind music again. BLOW! by WMC Kerkrade, although the World Music Competition 2021 still seems far away, already brings the WMC atmosphere to the city and shows a cross-section of everything that wind music has to offer.
What is going to happen? Playing during BLOW! more than 20 bands and orchestras on the market that turn things upside down. The energetic wind music of the young dogs of Broken Brass Ensemble, the party music of Wir Sind Spitze, Neo fanfare 9 × 13 and much more. In the Theater we kick off with a concert of the WMC champions from 2017. On Saturday the enthusiastic Royal Military Chapel "Johan Willem Friso" (KMKJWF) plays and on Friday the steaming New Cool Collective. We also organize an international conductor course that is freely accessible to listeners. We will close BLOW on Sunday! Finish with a bang: ten march and show bands go through the city in a Street Parade and end with a tattoo on Europaplein.
