Day Almonds is a personal app that helps families with young children prepare, understand and process the removal of almonds.
The app contains an extensive guide for parents / carers with all information about the hospital, the day of admission and the preparation. This way parents know exactly what is going to happen, after which they can calmly prepare their family in their own way. By means of personal puppets, photos from your hospital and cheerful animations, Dag Almonds helps families to talk about hospital treatment. In this way feelings such as fear, joy or pain are made negotiable.
Day Almonds is for the whole family. Also the brothers or sisters! Everyone can make their own doll and get their own role. This makes the preparation personal, so that everyone feels control over the situation.
Being well prepared for hospitalization and the recovery period afterwards provides more confidence, peace and hold. This is important to be able to process feelings of anxiety and stress, and ensures a good and fast recovery after the medical procedure.
