With the CheckID app from DigiD you help someone add the ID check to their DigiD app. Your phone only performs the one-time verification of the identity document. With the CheckID app from DigiD you can perform a one-off check of an identity document for someone else. The check takes place by reading the chip on the Dutch driver's license or identity document using the NFC reader on your device. The CheckID app reads the document number, the validity and the date of birth of an identity card, or the driving license number of a driving license. This data is sent via a secure connection to the DigiD app for which the ID check is performed. The CheckID app does not process data from the device on which it is installed for this check.

• For the CheckID app, updates can be downloaded and installed automatically from the app store. These updates are intended to improve, extend or further develop the app and may include bug fixes, advanced features, new software modules or completely new versions. Without these updates, the app may or may not function properly.
• Logius reserves the right, without giving any reason, to offer the CheckID app in the app store or to (temporarily) stop the operation of the app.
