Psychofarmaca Tool

With the Psychopharmaca Tool, practitioners - such as geriatric specialists and psychologists - can find out which (non-) drug treatments can be used appropriately for the treatment of misunderstood behavior in people with dementia. The Psychopharmaceutical Tool integrates recommendations from the guideline “Problem behavior in people with dementia” and the Pharmacotherapeutic Compass. In this application, the degree of appropriateness of prescribing according to the guideline can be evaluated. The Psychopharmaceutical Tool has been developed in collaboration with and for use in practice.

The Psychopharmaceutical Tool presents general, non-binding advice for treatment, which is derived from the guideline “problem behavior in people with dementia” of Verenso, 2018.
