'Deus ex tessera' - God from the dice
That's the main idea behind the creation of this app: No matter who's the master of the dungeon, the real power & fun is in a roll of the dice.
Ex Tessera is meant to facilitate this fun by replacing a 5th edition paper character sheet. No more writing and constantly re-writing information.
So when you finish an encounter and gain some well-earned experience, you merely click "Experience" and type a number. If you level-up, you'll be prompted to check the appropriate place in the player's handbook to learn your new class features. If your proficiency bonus increases it's handled automatically; everything affected by it will also increase to reflect the new bonus.
Not only that, but while keeping track of your HP you didn't have to worry at all about tearing your character sheet with the eraser of your no. 2 pencil, you dragon-slaying hero!
That's one example of a complex process made simple by Ex Tessera; instead of worrying about the minutiae of bookkeeping, you get to explore the fun of roleplaying a growing character.
While Ex Tessera may reflect the rules found in the Dungeons & Dragons 5th edition Player's Handbook, it will not explain them to you. In order to play, you must still have the handbook ready for quick reference.
