About JAIR MONTES

Born in Humaitá, Amazonas, Jair Montes is the youngest son of the midwife Celina Montes and the municipal civil servant, José Jaime Montes. The Amazonian by birth and Portovelhense at heart, before entering public life, was an entrepreneur in the fields of clothing and feed. Married to Leilane Montes and dedicated father of two children, Larissa Montes and Jair Montes Júnior. It took its first step in public life in 2006, when the party launched its candidacy for federal deputy for the PSDC, obtaining 3,800 votes. In the 2008 election, as a candidate for councilor in Porto Velho, he obtained 2,407 votes - the seventh most voted, however, did not take office because the party did not reach the electoral coefficient. In 2010, the Federal Chamber ran for a seat, ranking 12th in number of votes, however, the coalition again did not reach the required electoral coefficient. However, Jair Montes did not give up on the dream of representing the people of his heart city, Porto Velho. He waited more than two years, until he managed to win the 2012 election and started to occupy a seat in the Porto Velho City Council. In this case, it played an outstanding role in defense of housing, municipal tax incentives, socio-economic development and urban mobility. As a result, he was re-elected councilor in 2016 with a higher vote compared to the previous election. At this threshold, in the 2018 elections, with the flag of representing the vigilantes and the municipalities of Alto-Madeira: Porto Velho, Candeias do Jamari, Nova Mamoré and Guajará-Mirim, he was elected state deputy, being the first most voted in his coalition . Jair Montes is known as “Homem de Palavra” and guided his performance in the state parliament with the following pillars: defense of state civil servants, infrastructure, education, housing, agriculture, environment, tax incentives, strengthening of local productive arrangements, generation of employment and income, among other areas as a way to improve the population's quality of life and social well-being.
