Women’s rights are human rights. And yet, in many places across the globe these rights are overlooked / violated. ABHAYA is a project supported European Union which is implemented by two organisations Aarti for Girls – (VFT) and Women’s Initiatives (WINS) in Kadapa and Chittoor districts respectively in Andhra Pradesh, India.
This app is an outcome of the project and works as a tool to quickly help know and understand - what to do, whom to contact, how to support a woman/girl (in India) whose rights have been violated. In this app, you will find all kinds of issues of discrimination that women/girls might be facing.
There are 12 topics. Each issue is presented as a separate topic. In each topic, you will find questions and answers that will guide you in helping yourself or somebody else – How to know that your rights are being violated, how you can file a complaint, how you can help people next to you – all that can be found in those 12 chapters. Some of them also include relevant contacts of people to turn to for help in Kadapa and Chittoor districts. There are also educational videos which can help you to become a real expert on women’s rights.
Do not keep this information to yourself – with the knowledge gained from here, you have the power to teach and help others in their personal struggles.
This app comes in two languages English and Telugu.
