Spochan (chanbara sport) - a sport created in Japan in the 1970s on the basis of a samurai duel, is full-contact fencing with non-traumatic imitations of cold weapons. In fact, it is a sports duel with a safe weapon. The fight is held on a 6 by 7 meter area. The competitor's task is to hit any part of the opponent's body with the warhead of his weapon. In some types of fights, the affected area is limited. The decision to read off the blow is made by the judges. Each bout is judged by three referees. A kick is valid if two referees have counted it. A fighter may appeal the decision of the arbitrators. In this case, first, three referees hold a short meeting, then the opponents are listened to, after which, the referees once again discuss the controversial episode and make a final decision. The whole procedure takes no more than two minutes.
