Simply determine Butterflies
The app butterfly makes it possible to determine the most commonly seen butterflies (butterflies and some diurnal moths) of the Alpine region (Switzerland, Southern Germany, Austria) in a simple way. In total there are about 100 recognized in expert mode over 300 butterflies.
About typing recognition features (Table features), such as wing color, wingspan, dissemination and body and wing shape, a selection made and then are appropriate in the determination criteria Falter in an overview list (Table results) are displayed with a picture and short description.
Tapping the short description leads to a detailed representation with an enlarged image and a closer description of the moth.
In the overview list, a search function by name (German or Latin) is integrated and butterflies can be marked as seen.
In the detail view additional data and images for more accurate determination directly from the app in German Lepiforum (provision Help for the proven European butterfly species), on the site nature-butterflies and in the German Wikipedia can be accessed.
All images and data for a single determination are stored on the device. The app therefore is well suited for traveling, if no or only a slow connection to the Internet.
