Grupo São Gabriel emerged in 1999, when Clínica São Gabriel was opened by general surgeon Oscar Barreto, biochemist Maria Auxiliadora Bezerra and physiotherapist Dolores Nóbrega. From the beginning, the enterprise brought the marks of innovation and resoluteness, present in all the group's operations. In 2009, in order to expand the population's access to quality medical care in various specialties, a physiotherapy center and laboratory tests, the São Gabriel Health Card was launched and the possibility of discounts to users. New demands were emerging and solutions were promptly made possible: São Gabriel Diagnósticos (in 2013), Hospital Memorial São Gabriel (in 2015) and Centro Médico São Gabriel (in 2019).
