It is an application that aims to electronically document some of the cultural and heritage landmarks that are located in the city center of Amman and some areas surrounding the city center. The application has multiple goals, including improving links with the heritage of the city center and historical areas, and its goals also include being an electronic guidance system that can provide access to heritage and cultural monuments, market events, parks and street art, and in its future releases also access to some sites of urban and social rehabilitation initiatives and the resources available to refugees and their families Special needs and safe spaces for children.
Work on the application started by volunteers of the Heart of Amman 2 initiative for Jordanians and Iraqis within the project “Promoting Opportunities for Self-Reliance and Inclusion (Iraqi Refugees / Migrants and Fragile Jordanian Host Communities)”, which was last completed on November 11, 2021. The project was implemented by The United Nations Development Program (UNDP), in partnership with the CRP Association, which carried out the editorial supervision of the application, funded by the Italian Agency for Development and Cooperation AICS and in partnership with the Greater Amman Municipality.
