IGALABASSA RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE (IgalaBassa ReDI) as a giving Compass, is a nonprofit organization aggregating quality philanthropic content and resources to make it easier to give with impact to our “Igala/Bassa” homeland.
VISION
To make the IgalaBassa Homeland the destination of choice, the place to live, to work, and to invest in Kogi State and North Central Nigeria.
IgalaBassa ReDI is an inclusive development strategy inspired by the uncanny deprivation arising from the pervasive poverty outlook and the disruptive effect of the current global economic activities at the moment as it affects the IgalaBassa Kingdom – today’s Kogi East Senatorial Zone. The socio-economic drive is further underscored by Global citizen and Nobel Laureate in Literature, Professor Wole Soyinka (from the Southwest Nigeria), pursuit of what he has described as "Regional Development Autonomy." Development Autonomy is a potent argument for the need to leverage repressed communal assets, talents and resources located within a region, by side-tracking limitations placed on all.
