Kumusta Kabayan is a voluntary research project on a support programme provided through a smartphone app or website. This programme is originally name Step-by-Step, developed by the World Health Organization (WHO).
This programme has been developed for people across the world who are experiencing difficult emotions.
The aim of our research is to see if Step-by-Step works, and to make it better based on people’s experiences with it.
To this end, we offer the app as part of scientific studies in different countries, including Macau. If you are over 18 and experiencing stress or low mood, please step in.
Currently, Kumusta Kabayan / Step-by-Step is open to Overseas Filipino Workers in Macau.
For more information on the Step-by-Step study, please download the app or choose “sign up” on the Kumusta Kabayan website.
This application is not intended to be a replacement for treatment nor any sort of medical intervention.
This programme is translated and adapted, with permission, from the “Step-by-Step” programme which is © 2018 the World Health Organization.
We received funding from the Macao Government and Caritas Macau, to find ways of supporting OFWs.
