About PARKUR, la plateforme e-learni

PARKUR is a platform for linguistic and intercultural preparation for professional mobility. It aims to prepare all those who are preparing to go on internship, volunteering or any other professional mobility in Germany or France by offering them a linguistic boost before departure.

    • It is aimed at young people aged 16 to 30 with German / French basics and a minimum A2 language level (corresponds to 1 or 2 years of schooling).
    • Registration and participation in the learning platform are free and take place on a voluntary basis.
    • The duration of use is variable, it adapts according to the availabilities of the learners. The preparation and the learning on PARKUR is done before the departure abroad but can also be prolonged during the professional stay.

PARKUR revolves around islands of thematic learning and complementary resources where learners and tutors of the platform meet for limited periods. The tutors of the PARKUR platform supervise and support the trainee during the learning process. By addressing topics related to life in the company and trades, PARKUR aims to help be operational at the time of its arrival in the company that welcomes and to promote its integration in the other country .
PARKUR not only helps future trainees prepare autonomously for their stay but it also allows them to get in touch with other young people who are in the same situation as them.
PARKUR offers both autonomous and interactive learning. Each person registered on the platform is assigned a guardian who will be his interlocutor or contact person on the platform. Together, during the videoconference consultancy meeting, they discuss the objectives, the needs, the project in Germany (or France) as well as the availabilities and compose on this basis the personalized course on the platform.
This course is organized around modules consisting of islands of thematic learning and complementary resources to be carried out independently. Islets are workspaces supervised by tutors during 12-day sessions. The exercises in these modules are based on authentic resources and allow young people to prepare themselves for situations close to their daily life in Germany. Within each block, autonomous learning moments alternate with tutored tasks that provide feedback from tutors. Each block ends with a videoconference during which all the participants of the session meet to complete the final task together, oral collaborative task supervised by the tutors of the block.
The support offered during their learning journey in autonomy, as well as the reflection on the learning objectives are fundamental in the design of the platform. The team of tutors, trained by the OFAJ, plays a key role: PARKUR's voluntary approach places the responsibility for learning in the hands of the young people who register, the tutors are there to accompany them and help them achieve their goals.
In addition, various resources are available to learners, such as Mobidico, the glossary application of the OFAJ, or the Europass-CV. Throughout his career, each young person also gets badges highlighting special skills. At the end, a certificate of participation summarizing the blocks made and accumulated skills is sent to him.
