The official application of the conference JF.IG.RV 2019 organized in Marseille in November 2019.
The GDR IGRV days will be held from 13 to 15 November 2019 at the Congress Center of Parc Chanot in Marseille.
A "young researchers" day will be held on November 12 in the premises of Ecole Polytech Marseille on the Luminy campus.
A day of the GDMM WG (Discrete Geometry and Mathematical Morphology) will also take place on November 12, on the Luminy campus (https://gdmm2019.lis-lab.fr/).
At the request of the CNRS, the days will be organized differently from the previous editions (Rennes and Reims). The days will bring together the two IG (Geometric and Graphic Computing) and VR (Virtual Reality and Visualization) communities of the GDR. Two days will be specific IG and RV and one day will be dedicated to the GDR. For this day, the focus will be on feedback and on aspects of scientific foresight specific to the themes of the GDR (see specific page).
The public of these common days, very important for the structuring of the two communities and their interactions, is about 250 people with common sessions and sessions separated by community. This is a moment whose objectives are multiple:
a meeting of the community by promoting the interaction between the actors of Computer Graphics and Virtual Reality, allowing to offer a porosity between the subjects and questions of study (in fast evolution) of the two scientific communities.
Plenary lectures with internationally recognized guest speakers and keynote presentations by senior researchers
research presentations and a large space left to PhD students to present their work
brainstorming workshops around scientific locks and new avenues of research
booths allowing many presentations whether academic or industrial
industrial presentations
For the two days IG and RV, the sessions will be in parallel and the two communities will have all the latitude to mix.
