The traffic light pilot uses the camera to recognize the red and green phases of pedestrian traffic lights. Users are informed about the current traffic light phase with verbal and tactile feedback.
Recognition starts immediately after opening the app. Point the camera in the direction of the next pedestrian light and you will be informed of the current light phase.
In the settings you can switch the voice output and the vibration on and off. In addition, the camera preview can be deactivated here. If this is deactivated, the traffic light pilot shows you the recognized traffic light phase on the entire screen in red or green, a gray screen does not represent a recognized traffic light phase.
When you open the app, you will be read an instruction that tells you that this app was developed to help you. You can disable this voice output using the Read Instructions feature.
With the "Pause detection" function, you can save the battery by holding the smartphone horizontally and only restarting the detection when you put it upright again.
