About Worlds Biggest Hug for Peace
Our Vision: The Worlds Biggest Hug for Peace
Founded in 2001, World’s Biggest Hug for Peace began with a simple, profound truth: the world is a reflection of the love and connection we hold in our hearts. We were mortified by the manufactured war in Iraq, but realized that we had all played a part in its manifestation.
That is, while hate and division persist in our collective consciousness, conflict will manifest somewhere in the world. Therefore, we are not simply pointing fingers at leaders like Trump, Putin, or Netanyahu for the current wars. Our response isn't to blame, but to acknowledge that peace starts within each of us.
We invite everyone to join this beautiful movement, which is powered by our app. Using the app, you can find and hug Peace Monuments around the world, and more importantly, you can create a list of your own special places that need a hug. This allows you to bring love and connection to those places, or express gratitude to places that have inspired you—even if it's just where you live.
You can save these locations as favorites to easily send a daily virtual hug. This gentle, powerful act reminds us all how easily we can connect through shared love, making peace visible, one digital hug at a time.
