Departing from the universal teachings of Islam, the Dompet Yatim and Mosque Foundation (YDYM) was established in order to provide benefits for Muslims in particular and mankind in general in this world. As aspired by the founders of the Indonesian nation, YDYM is determined to participate in protecting and safeguarding the sovereignty of the country, advancing public welfare, educating the nation's life, and participating in carrying out world order based on independence, eternal peace and social justice within the framework of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. and based on Pancasila.
In order to participate in realizing the ideals of the Indonesian nation, YDYM dedicates itself to carrying out three main movements, namely:
1. The formation of noble character and morals of the nation through the implementation of programs based on mosques and their environment.
2. Improving the ability of the Indonesian people to manage natural resources through skills-based education and applied technology.
3. Economic empowerment based on the availability of natural resources, local wisdom and community culture, as well as contributing to the Indonesian people who are still in need through social and humanitarian programs.
