The APP "Alert Woman" is a technological tool that aims to enable an agile and secure communication channel for victims of family violence who have reported such grievance to the police authority, ensuring an efficient and timely response by the National Police against to potential threats, avoiding future acts of violence (re-victimization) and / or eventual feminicides.
How do I get the application ?: The APP "Woman Alert" is installed on the mobile of that person who comes to the police headquarters has filed a complaint for family violence, always with their consent. During the installation of the APP, the National Police records the data of the reporting victim as well as the aggressor.
How it works: Faced with a threat, the victim can activate the alert or emergency in just two steps. In real time, the National Police receives the alert call of the potential victim, together with the georeferenced location of the same, as well as the main data of the parties (victim and aggressor). Simultaneously, the Commissioner receives the alert in the same way through a text message. The police headquarters guard officer dispatches the emergency through the telephone line, considering the location of the ambulance or officer in the field closest to the victim, also sending the personal information of the parties. On the other hand, the victim receives a confirmation message that his alert is in the process of attention.
* In this first stage the application is only valid for people registered at the Santa Elizabeth police station in San Juan de Lurigancho, Lima
