Podbabiogórze - this is the name of the region located at the northern foot of Baba Hora, which overlaps with the western part of the Żywiec Beskydy with the Babohorské and Jałowiecki zones, the Police Zone, the southern slopes of the Łamana Skała Zone in the Little Beskydy Makes On the southern side of Babá hora lies the Orava region, divided into Polish and Slovak parts. The border area of the Slovak part of Orava belongs to the administration of the municipality of Oravská Polhora.
The Babej hora ridge is visible from various perspectives from many hiking trails in this region. You can get to all the most interesting and picturesque places in this part of the Beskydy Mountains. Their network is the densest in the vicinity of the village Zawoja, the capital of the tourist town of Podbabiogórza. From here you can go to Polica and Hala Krupowa, to Jałowiec, Modralova - and especially to Babia hora. Popular among tourists are also the less demanding, family trails to Leskowiec and less visited trails in the Makowski Beskydy - e.g. to Koskow Góra.
