About Szlak Bitwy Warszawskiej 1920

The "100th anniversary of the Battle of Warsaw" trail consists of two lines of cycling routes with a total length of approx. 70 km. The red and black trails lead among the most valuable natural areas of the Nasielna Valley, the Wkra River and the eastern ecological corridor of the Nasielsk Commune (Nowodworski poviat). The course of the routes is marked among the most charming and picturesque areas of the commune. Due to the 100th anniversary of the events, the main theme of the route are places related to the Battle of Warsaw in 1920 and historical places, which include, among others, Battlefield on Wkra fought as part of the Battle of Warsaw, commonly known as the Miracle on the Vistula, or the cemetery in Cieksyn, where there is a mass grave with the bodies of 85 killed during the August fights in the vicinity of Borkowo, as well as graves at the cemetery in Nasielsk. The trail is an additional commemoration of these events, it also presents the natural and landscape values ​​of the area.
