How does it work and what distinguishes GPW news from among many news applications? One fact: you independently define the way of analyzing the message content on the basis of which the system assesses whether it is a message from your interests or not. You do this by providing phrases (usually one word, sometimes more) which the system searches in the body of the message. With additional options, you can further specify how the system should determine whether a given phrase appears in the content - for example:
- does the size of the characters matter - is the phrase "euro" supposed to hit the word "Euro" or "gus" in the "Central Statistical Office",
- whether the phrase "oil" is supposed to hit the word "Europe",
- whether the phrase "euro" is supposed to hit the word "Europe",
- whether a given phrase is unwanted in the content or the hit with a given phrase is to disqualify the message.
It is recommended to use the test function of the created tag - after defining hit phrases, you can check their operation on any text. Thanks to this, you will be sure that the GPW News application searches the media in the right way.
In this way, you can create search definitions that are very tailored to your preferences - tags. You do not need to browse dozens or hundreds of titles to find out if something interesting has happened. If you use multiple devices, you will have all your tags at all along with information which messages you have already read.
After creating your tags, you must wait fifteen minutes for the first messages, depending on whether messages appear in your media that meet your criteria. Sometimes you need to show patience here, because the newly added tag will be included in the search only for new messages - we do not work backwards.
