A simple program for creating shopping lists using the database of nearly a million products.
You can add products to the shopping list:
- by scanning the product's bar code (icon with the application logo),
- entering the bar code manually (icon with keyboard).
- searching for products by name (icon with a magnifying glass), the function also works in offline mode - searching in the history of products that were previously added to the list on a given device, in the case of searching without entering the name, the program will display a list of all products that have ever been added to list on the device.
The application also allows:
- easy to see the country in which the product was registered (flag under the name),
- view product photos if available (click the name on the list),
- remove individual items from the shopping list (clicking the name on the list),
- mark all items on the shopping list as bought (icon with the garbage bin),
- suggest names for unknown products (short click on an item in the list),
- suggest new names for existing products (long click on an item in the list),
- search for updates on added products (bar code icon),
- share shopping lists between multiple devices (automatic synchronization every 5 minutes),
- manually trigger the synchronization of products from the shared list between several devices (icon with a bar code),
- set the phone's camera focus mode ("Auto Focus" switch),
- during scanning, illuminate the bar code with the built-in lamp from the camera ("Lamp" switch),
If you want to share a shopping list between multiple devices, scan the application (just like a regular bar code) on another device, the QR code generated after pressing the share button (three thick dots connected by lines).
The database of products grouped into categories is constantly expanded and verified - searching for a new product requires an active connection to the Internet. The product name should appear on the shopping list within 30 seconds of scanning. If the application did not find the bar code you are scanning, there is a good chance that we will add the correct description within 48 hours.
In the near future I plan, among others:
- improve the readability of the list with products (information about categories, etc.),
- give the opportunity to create separate shopping lists,
- refine the database of private label brands of popular store chains (unfortunately, access to data on these products is difficult).
