Do you know how many people are preparing an opera performance? Do you know that the opera works even for locksmiths, florists, modellers, dyers and upholsterers? And when you drink coffee in a break, dozens of people work on the stage so you can see the real magic of the theater.
The opera is created by a composer and a librettist. Stanisław Moniuszko wrote The Haunted Manor together with Jan Chęciński over 150 years ago - they planned the action, the characters, the composer wrote the music. Today it is the most popular Polish opera. But before it is staged, several hundred people are working on the preparation of the show: conductor, director, stage designer, costume designer, singers, choir, dancers, orchestra, but also tailors, shoemakers, makeup artists, many other workshops and departments. Every day you can not see their hard and long work.
You will see everything for the first time in the Opera application: singing soloists, rehearsals, assembly of decorations, setting the light, tailoring, office and basement work, as well as a cargo lift in which the horse will fit, and fourteen floors of the Grand Theater - National Opera and the largest stage in Europe!
You will also look at what's happening behind the scenes during the performance itself - dancers preparing to enter from the coolies from Molier or soloists coming down to the backstage from Wierzbowa. When one soloist is already singing, the other is still in the make-up artist. The inspector is watching over everything, and when someone has a short break, he will fall into the buffet. Do you want to see it? Welcome backstage!
