Cartas Militares

The Army Geospatial Information Center (CIGeoE) in partnership with InfoPortugal SA offer various Cartographic Series produced in CIGeoE from throughout the country, on mobile devices, simple and intuitive, enabling navigation off road with the rigor, detail and own detail of Military Cartography, allowing the user to know where it comes from, where you are and where you're going, anywhere in Portugal.
The App "Military Letters" provides cartography, Geospatial Information Center of the Army (CIGeoE) throughout the national territory (Mainland, Madeira and Azores), in various scales:
· 1: 500 000
· 1: 250 000.
· 1:50 000
· 1:25 000
Representation remains the land;
Navigation, based on all terrain elements: relief, hydrography, vegetation, roads (primary, secondary and paths), constructions and references (natural and artificial);
Use offline mapping;
Cartographic Series and scale automatically adjusted depending on the user selected zoom factor;
Detail level automatically adjusted to the geographical area visible on the device display;
User display position on the maps, geographic coordinates, altitude, speed;
Searches for place names and coordinates;
Navigation azimuth and distance;
KML reading (Google Earth file);
Recording paths / routes;
Navigation paths / routes
Sharing routes and squid;
Setting / viewing / sharing waypoints
User device centered position automatically;
Rotation of mapping according to the direction of motion.
