This application has been developed through the cooperation of the United Nations Democracy Fund (UNDEF) through a project to strengthen freedom of expression implemented by the Institute of Environmental Law and Economics (IDEA).
IDEA is an organization founded in 1996 as the first civil society organization dedicated to the study and promotion of environmental law. Little by little, starting from Principle 10 of the Rio Declaration, we complemented and strengthened our initial focus with a strong defense of the rights of access to information, citizen participation and justice, actively influencing the public policies of transparency and democratic governance in Paraguay.
The Roundtable for the Safety of Journalists is an articulation of public institutions and journalists' organizations that seeks prevention, protection, and the prosecution of justice in cases of aggressions, attacks, and crimes against journalists due to their social role of reporting on matters of interest. public, for which it promotes a comprehensive, effective and rapid response mechanism in such situations of risk or violation of the security of communicators.
