With a differentiated program open to the interests of the community, Rádio 98 FM started its activities in August 2001, with the objective of innovating the way of doing radio in the city of Canoinhas and in the Planalto Norte region of Santa Catarina.
In 2002, it signed a partnership with OBORÉ Projetos Especiais em Comunicações e Artes, from São Paulo, starting to broadcast the program Plantão Saúde in its daily schedule. In the same year, he conceived and put into practice humanitarian aid campaigns, such as school supplies, blankets and Christmas, with a focus on needy families and, mainly, children.
At the beginning of 2003, due to the success achieved during the Make Christmas Playing 2002 campaign, it received from the ABRINQ Foundation for the Rights of Children and Adolescents the seal of EMPRESA AMIGA DA CRIANÇA. As a result, it expanded its Social Responsibility actions even further, implementing the CRIANÇA FELIZ project in the municipality, and establishing important partnerships with schools, universities and other institutions of the same character, in addition to opening spaces in its programming for professionals, authorities and citizens of Canoinha. .
Over these years, Rádio 98 FM Educativa became a local, regional and national reference due to the awards it won, including certificates and diplomas of merit for relevant services provided to the population of the North Plateau of Santa Catarina.
Currently, in addition to developing its social campaigns, the Criança Feliz and Rua do Lazer projects, allocating free spaces in its programming for other entities to publicize their actions and airing educational/cultural programs, 98 FM offers its listeners an eclectic, quality program, seeking continuous improvement so that it continues to be a pride for Canoinhas.
